| PubMedID- 24626309 | Two ifng snps ( rs2069718 andrs3181035 ) out of 10 evaluated were found to exhibit astatistically significant association with the presence of retinal/retinochoroidal scarlesions with different degrees of severity, after correction for multiple testing (n =10) of independent snps with maf > 0.1. the fact that we found two different snps inifng associated with two different forms of retinal diseaseattributable to toxoplasmosis lends further support to the hypothesis that differentinflammatory mechanisms underlie the development of the diversified retinal lesionsobserved in the studied area. |
