PubMedID- 25932303 Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a tonsillar herniation with a large syringomyelia in the spinal cord starting from just below the foramen magnum level and ending at the level of t5 vertebral body.
PubMedID- 22059148 In the above case with only 6mm tonsillar herniation, effacement of csf cisterns and syringomyelia was responsible for emergence of symptoms.
PubMedID- 21647327 6 reported one case of a dermoid tumor in the cerebellum in 2009. these cases were all due to secondary cerebellar tonsillar herniation associated with syringomyelia, induced by an occupied lesion in the posterior fossa.
