PubMedID- 22454749 The majority of patients have bilateral involvement and recurrent panuveitis with retinal vasculitis.40,41,43,44 cataract, intraocular pressure elevation, macular edema or maculopathy, and optic atrophy are the most common complications.41,43–45 while visual prognosis has been reported to be better than adults in some series40,43, individual variability of the disease course, response to treatment and visual outcome has been reported by others.41,44,45 children with posterior segment involvement require immunosuppressive therapy.
